Our Ingenious Engineers
Since early on, we’ve had a robust in-house machine shop at Fisk so we can respond quickly to issues that might slow production. Consistently meeting your deadlines, after all, is as important as product quality. Our engineers and machinists have built most of our production equipment and are capable of fixing all of it. From developing unique rolling mills for converting strip into wire to engineering bearings to reduce tolerances, our zeal for precision has given the specialty copper alloy wire industry many firsts.

Since 1973, Fisk has been a supplier of specialty wire systems, principally in copper alloys, to discriminating designers and engineers in the aerospace, automotive, defense, medical and electronics industries—and an innovator of the first rank.
All of our products are custom-engineered to the requirements and specifications of our customers. In many cases, our products feature alloys available in wire form only from Fisk. Products, we hasten to add, of the highest quality. Our business is wire, but our passion is exceeding our customers’ expectations.
Transforming lofty words into durable wire is no easy feat, however. It is possible at Fisk only because of several essential elements that we’ve assembled.
First, developing copper alloy wire systems requires a feel for where technology is going. Fortunately, we’ve got a team of scientists and engineers who have spent their professional lives focused on copper alloy wire. Their deep knowledge of these materials and their sense of what’s possible give us the insight needed to develop wire systems that will be both forward looking and effective.
Second, manufacturing advanced wire is incredibly complicated, as well as capital- and labor-intensive, and there’s no way to rush it or cut corners to achieve it. Success in this specialty takes a commitment measured not only in dollars, but in decades. Family-owned, Fisk Alloy has always believed that, in the long run, a commitment to quality will trump short-term gain. It’s an old-fashioned notion, but it works for us. And over the years, it’s earned us the respect of the industry and the loyalty of our customers.
The third engine of Fisk’s success is relentless innovation, and over time it has led to a significant number of industry firsts.
